Job Description
Join our Inbound Transportation team as a Logistics Specialist, where you will manage scheduled pickups, reroute hauls, resolve transportation issues, and conduct data analysis. Collaborate with various vendors to ensure the smooth transport of freight using 18-wheelers. This role involves both interpersonal interaction and analytical problem-solving.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage scheduled pickups and reroute hauls as necessary.Resolve transportation issues and analyze shipment data to identify and solve problems.Conduct meetings to review plans and recap previous day's activities.Track vendor activity using Excel and communicate with vendors to address issues.Work with approximately 50 different vendors to ensure timely shipments.Essential SkillsProficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.Experience in transportation, business analytics, and business intelligence.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Ability to work with multiple screens and solve complex problems.Customer obsession, bias for action, and results-oriented mindset.Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work environment, with two days on-site (Wednesday and Thursday) and three days remote (Monday, Tuesday, and Friday). The role requires 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM. The role may transition to fully on-site, pending desk space availability. The team is diverse and collaborative, providing a chance to innovate and have ownership, with a direct impact on up to 1,000 shipments per week.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
