Logistics Planning Analyst
Job Title: Logistics Planning Analyst (hybrid/onsite role, no remote option) Job Description This position involves collaborating with suppliers to ensure the execution of planned orders and schedules, resolving issues to guarantee material availability for facility production. The role requires working closely with facility production schedulers and operations personnel to support production and ensure the availability of materials at the point of use. The Logistics Planning Analyst ensures alignment of inventory accuracy and inventory systems planning parameters with the plan for every part, maintaining effective planning processes. Responsibilities + Examine documents, materials, and products, monitoring work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards. + Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, as well as material priorities. + Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures. + Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands. + Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, or other interruptions. + Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments. Essential Skills + General knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management. + 5+ years of inventory analyst experience. + Proficiency in MS Excel. + Technical savvy, experienced with computers and software programs like MRPs/ERPs. + Bachelor's Degree is required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge and/or experience in material control, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations, and transportation or logistics is desired. + Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials. + Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. + Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. + Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production. + Open to considering military or additional years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Work Environment The role is hybrid, initially requiring 5 days a week in the office, with expectations to shift to 2-3 days a week in-office. Work hours are flexible around core hours of 8:30 am to 3 pm. The team consists of one team lead and four Logistics Planning Analysts (LPAs). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
