What You'll Do as Logistics Manager:
Serve as a primary interface between Procurement and the Project Manager, facilitating schedule alignment, issue resolution, and execution planning. Support development, review, and submission of RFP responses, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and alignment with contractual and customer requirements. Review logistics, technical, and operational inputs for consistency and quality prior to submission. Track procurement-related actions, risks, and deliverables through award. Support contract compliance activities, audits, and internal reviews. Assume full responsibility for logistics execution post-PO issuance through material delivery and customer turnover. Manage receipt, storage, inventory control, transportation, and documentation of contract materials. Ensure logistics execution aligns with contract requirements, delivery schedules, and quality standards. Supervise warehouse operations and personnel, including tasking, training, performance oversight, and safety compliance. Analyze and improve logistics and distribution processes to support high-volume operations. Coordinate with procurement, vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely material flow. Maintain compliance with applicable federal regulations and company policies. Recruit, train, and supervise assigned personnel in accordance with contract and corporate requirements. Administer personnel actions, timesheets, and required documentation. Conduct inspections, audits, and performance surveillance to ensure work meets contract standards.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in overseeing logistics and procurement. Experience with procurement, inventory, and logistics systems required. Experience supporting Navy or other government logistics operations strongly preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business systems. Knowledge of FAR, CFR, SCA, OSHA, and other applicable federal regulations. Ability to operate independently in a deadline-driven environment. Possess advanced written and oral communication skills. Possess extensive analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to be a self-starter and have strong time management skills. Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and handle multiple priorities. Ability and willingness to exert disciplinary action as needed as well as delegate authority. Ability to work both with minimal supervision and as a team player.Other Requirements:
Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening. Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors. Ability to climb, bend, squat, and lift to carry objects ranging from 10-60 pounds. Occasionally push objects up to 100 pounds. Ability to remain seated for up to 8 hours a day. Ability to respond to after-hour emergency calls as determined by the Contracting Office Representative (COR). Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays. Ability to travel up to 25% locally. Ability to be insured as an authorized driver for the Company. Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
