Job Title: Logistics Manager
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to optimize our logistics and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will design and execute logistics strategies that align with organizational goals, manage inventory and distribution, and ensure high order accuracy and on-time delivery.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute logistics strategies to align with organizational goals.Manage warehouse, inventory, and distribution operations to ensure high order accuracy and on-time delivery.Utilize lean and 5S methodologies to continuously improve logistics operations.Oversee routing, carrier selection, and freight negotiations to reduce transportation costs.Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and track logistics costs.Manage vendor relationships with carriers, 3PLs, and suppliers, ensuring high service levels and adherence to SLAs.Lead quarterly performance reviews and enforce quality, cost, and delivery standards.Build and lead a high-performing logistics team, maintaining clear KPIs and accountability structures.Train staff in safety, compliance, and operational best practices.Ensure all logistics activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including safety standards and environmental policies.Use TMS and ERP systems to analyze trends, monitor KPIs, and make evidence-based decisions.Drive actionable insights from logistics data to increase efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.Align logistics operations with customer service goals and resolve escalations promptly.Lead or participate in Six Sigma or Lean initiatives to improve service or reduce waste.Implement new technologies or automation solutions to increase throughput or reduce labor.Oversee maintenance personnel responsible for conducting regular preventive maintenance for production machinery and cleanroom systems.Manage building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and janitorial services.Essential SkillsBS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.APICS certification, CPIM or CSCMP preferred.5+ years of experience in manufacturing logistics, preferably in biopharma, medical, biotech, or related industries.10+ years of managerial experience.Excellent understanding of logistics and inventory control best practices and supply chain management.Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, with preference for Infor Syteline.Experience with customs regulations and cross-country intercompany transactions.Certifications in 5S, Six Sigma preferred.Comprehensive understanding of internal requirements and specifications regarding safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Effective negotiation abilities.Capability to manage complex, global logistics networks.Knowledge of relevant quality system regulations.Strong focus on both internal and external customer satisfaction.Ability to consolidate and analyze data, draw conclusions, and communicate solutions clearly.Exceptional attention to detail, math, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Superior written and oral communication, organization, and time-management skills.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team.Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in logistics, 3PL, supply chain, customer service, supervision, warehouse management, and international shipping.Why Work Here?
