Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Leader in Camrose, AB to manage and optimize our logistics operations. This role requires someone who can evaluate and define import/export functions, oversee order processing procedures, and implement collaborative planning and forecasting strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and define import/export functions ensuring compliance with due dates.Oversee order processing procedures, ensuring they are responsive and synchronized to client requirements, develop an integrated order entry capability, and ensure real-time order tracking.Implement collaborative planning, forecasting, and stock replenishment, ensuring production allocation optimizes load balance and minimizes the impact of demand variation on capacity, productivity, and inventory.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, management standards, and all applicable laws and regulations.Comply with HSE procedures, report incidents or observations, perform inspections, and participate in investigation processes. Implement preventive/corrective actions and keep risk analysis and environmental assessments updated.Proactively motivate, coach, communicate with, and develop staff while managing HR-related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures.Protect facilities, equipment, and other physical resources from damage, theft, or misuse.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in logistics.Experience with large ERP software.Previous experience in training or mentoring team members.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SAP, steel manufacturing, and project management.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in logistics, data/business analytics, and/or project management is a strong asset.Experience in steel manufacturing.Experience in oil & gas or manufacturing.Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Computer Programming, or Engineering is preferred.Confident and capable of handling multitasking.High attention to detail.Work Environment

This position requires working 3 days in Camrose. The work hours are from 8 am to 4 pm with flexibility to start earlier. The team includes 2 logistics analysts and potentially 1 senior analyst, all of whom are very self-sufficient. The group in Camrose is tight-knit, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.11 - $63.94/hr.
