Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Leader in Camrose, AB to manage and optimize our import/export functions, oversee order processing procedures, and implement collaborative planning and forecasting strategies. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations, motivate and develop their team, and protect resources within their area of responsibility.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and define import/export functions ensuring compliance with due dates.Oversee order processing procedures, ensuring synchronization with client requirements, and develop integrated order entry capabilities with real-time order tracking.Implement collaborative planning, forecasting, and stock replenishment strategies to optimize production allocation and minimize demand variation impacts.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and management standards, as well as adherence to laws and regulations applicable to the area.Comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures, report incidents or observations, perform inspections, participate in investigations, and implement preventive/corrective actions.Motivate, coach, communicate with, and develop staff, managing HR activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures.Protect facilities, equipment, and physical resources from damage, theft, or misuse.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in logistics.Experience with large ERP software.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Experience in training or mentoring team members.Expertise in SAP, steel manufacturing, and project management.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in logistics, data/business analytics, and/or project management is a strong asset.Experience in steel manufacturing or oil & gas industries.An undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Computer Programming, or Engineering is preferred.Previous experience mentoring or training is advantageous.Work Environment
The work schedule is split between two locations, with three days in Camrose. The hours are from 8 am to 4 pm, with flexibility for an earlier start. You will manage a tight-knit group of direct reports, including two logistics analysts and potentially one senior analyst. The team is self-sufficient, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $47.11 - $63.94/hr.
