We are seeking a dedicated logistics engineer to oversee the acquisition, control, accountability, and disposition of government and company-owned hardware property. The role requires ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and internal policies while supporting logistics operations and property lifecycle management across multiple programs. You will manage government property records, coordinate audits and inspections, and maintain adherence to compliance standards. Collaboration with program managers, procurement teams, and representatives is essential to maintain readiness, accuracy, and accountability for all program assets, along with managing the internal hardware laboratory.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and oversee supply chain activities to support engineering programs.Ensure timely procurement, receipt, tracking, transportation, storage, and distribution of materials.Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.Coordinate with program managers, engineering, procurement, finance, and government representatives.Maintain accurate records of government and company property in accordance with FAR/DFARS requirements.Conduct property audits, inventories, and reconciliations.Oversee property lifecycle management, including acquisition, assignment, maintenance, and disposal.Ensure compliance with government property clauses and reporting requirements.Prepare and submit required property reports to government agencies.Support internal and external audits, inspections, and reviews.Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities within the laboratory, ensuring a clean, organized, and fully equipped environment.Manage and monitor the lab for adherence to safety and security protocols.Assign and manage floor, bench, and storage spaces to address program needs.Identify risks in logistics and property operations and implement mitigation strategies.Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs).Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or related field.2+ years of experience in logistics and/or government property management, preferably for tactical systems in a DoD or federal contracting environment.Strong understanding of FAR Part 45, DFARS 252.245, and related government property clauses.Experience with property management systems, inventory control, and logistics coordination.Eligibility for a US Secret Clearance.Additional Skills & QualificationsNPMA Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) or related certification.Experience supporting Defense Contract Management Agency property audits or government contract transitions.Proficiency with ERP systems such as Jamis, Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or equivalent.Familiarity with export control (ITAR/EAR) and hazardous material shipping regulations.Experience supporting both CONUS and OCONUS logistics operations.Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.Work EnvironmentThe work environment will predominantly be on-site in Warrenton, VA, with 80% of the time spent there. The company comprises 100 employees, with 85% located in Warrenton, VA, and others in Tampa, Scottsdale, and San Diego. Collaboration with subcontracting partners is necessary to ensure compliance and tracking of hardware related to prime projects. The role offers the opportunity to work with a cutting-edge communication technology team and manage all engineering labs on campus.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $62.50/hr.
