About the Role:
Join our client’s fast-paced Inbound Transportation team as a Logistics Specialist. In this role, you’ll coordinate freight pickups, resolve transportation issues, and analyze vendor performance data. You’ll work closely with approximately 50 vendors and play a key role in ensuring timely and efficient shipment operations involving 18-wheelers.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage and coordinate scheduled freight pickups.
+ Re-route hauls and resolve logistical challenges as needed.
+ Analyze transportation data to monitor and improve vendor performance.
+ Maintain regular communication with a network of ~50 vendors.
+ Participate in daily planning and recap meetings.
+ Use Excel to track vendor activity and generate performance reports.
+ Troubleshoot shipment issues and collaborate with vendors to find solutions.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Work Environment:
+ Hybrid Schedule:Work remotely on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays; on-site in Tempe on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
+ Future Transition:This role is expected to transition to fully on-site in 2025.
+ Hours:40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
