Logistics Coordinator (Part-Time) - Haynes Furniture Company

What You’ll Do

You’ll be at the center of our domestic and import transportation efforts, ensuring shipments are planned, tracked, and delivered efficiently across all Haynes/The Dump facilities.

 

Plan, schedule, and monitor inbound and outbound domestic and import shipmentsCoordinate load and delivery appointments to support advertising needs, customer deliveries, and inventory replenishmentBuild strong working relationships with vendors, brokers, trucking companies, and internal teamsTrack shipments from departure through final receipt, keeping our receiving calendars accurate and up to datePlan multi-stop pickups and deliveries using metrics to optimize truck utilizationPartner with Buying and Operations teams to manage open purchase orders and expedite product movementProactively plan container flow into distribution centers to avoid demurrage, per diem, storage, and prepull feesManage purchase orders end-to-end and support vendor and carrier chargebacks when applicableAudit and prepare transportation invoices and support cost-control initiativesUse performance metrics (cycle time, receiving timelines, demurrage, per diem) to support continuous improvementHelp forecast anticipated loads to support Operations and Category ManagersCollaborate with leadership to select the best carriers for each transportation laneSupport and update receiving guidelines as needed across locations
