Logistics Coordinator
Job Title: Logistics CoordinatorJob Description

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing material inventory across multiple locations, ensuring stock levels are accurate. You will create and update work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and kits using the Mincron system. Your role includes ordering materials, managing purchase orders for fabrication branches, and helping to reduce inventory costs by analyzing usage data and suggesting improvements. Additionally, you will maintain basic shop supplies for all fabrication locations and collaborate with sales to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and replacement options if needed.

ResponsibilitiesTrack material inventory across multiple locations to ensure accurate stock levels.Create and update work orders, BOMs, and kits in Mincron.Order materials and manage purchase orders for fabrication branches.Analyze usage data to suggest improvements for reducing inventory costs.Maintain basic shop supplies for all fabrication locations.Collaborate with sales to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and replacement options.Resolve discrepancies between ordered items and accounting records.Build relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery.Monitor inventory flow from suppliers to fabrication centers to ensure timely arrival.Recommend stocking levels based on historical data.Identify and explain material delays to management.Essential SkillsProficiency in logistics, ERP systems, and data entry.Strong Microsoft Office skills.Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.Ability to multitask and switch gears quickly.Strong understanding of costing and inventory management.A team-focused attitude with high integrity and reliability.Additional Skills & QualificationsA college degree in business or 5+ years of experience in logistics, purchasing, materials planning, or inventory management.Experience with pricing, purchasing, and inventory control.Knowledge of plastics/metals products is a plus.Work Environment

This role is office-based, working within a small team of only three people. There is flexibility with starting hours, allowing a 7 or 8 AM start time as long as eight hours are worked. The position offers an opportunity to transition to a permanent role and is characterized by low turnover, as the previous employee held the position for 20 years before retiring.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Branchburg, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.85/hr.
