Logistics Coordinator
Overview

The Logistics Coordinator / Shipping Clerk supports daily shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities to ensure materials and finished goods move efficiently through the manufacturing process. This role works closely with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to maintain accurate records, meet delivery deadlines, and uphold high standards of quality and compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesShipping & ReceivingPrepare, package, and process outgoing shipments using carrier software (UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight).Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.Coordinate freight pickups, schedule deliveries, and communicate with carriers to resolve issues.Generate shipping documents such as BOLs, packing lists, labels, and customs paperwork.Logistics CoordinationTrack shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and customers.Maintain accurate inventory records through ERP or warehouse management systems.Monitor stock levels and notify purchasing of shortages or delays.Support production scheduling by ensuring materials are available when needed.Documentation & ComplianceEnsure all shipments comply with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports for audits and internal tracking.Follow safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
