Logistics Coordinator
Logistics Coordinator Job Description As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate material inventory across multiple locations and ensuring stock levels are managed effectively. You will create and update work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and kits in the Mincron system, manage purchase orders, and help reduce inventory costs through data analysis and strategic improvements. Responsibilities + Keep track of material inventory across multiple locations and ensure stock levels are accurate. + Create and update work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and kits in the system (Mincron). + Order materials and manage purchase orders for fabrication branches. + Help reduce inventory costs by analyzing usage data and suggesting improvements. + Maintain basic shop supplies for all fabrication locations. + Collaborate with sales to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and replacement options if delays or stock issues arise. + Resolve discrepancies between ordered materials and accounting records. + Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery. + Monitor the flow of inventory from suppliers to fabrication centers to ensure timely arrivals. + Recommend stocking levels based on historical data. + Identify, explain, and communicate any material delays to management. Essential Skills + Proficiency in logistics, ERP, and data entry. + Experience with pricing, purchasing, and inventory control. + Strong Microsoft Office skills. + Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills. + Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities. + Strong understanding of costing and inventory management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + A college degree in business or a related field, or 5+ years of experience in logistics, purchasing, materials planning, or inventory management. + Knowledge of plastics/metals products is a plus. + A team-focused attitude with high integrity and reliability. Work Environment The role is in-office with a small team of only three people. The working hours are flexible, with start times between 7 and 8 AM, as long as an 8-hour workday is completed. The company offers the opportunity for permanent employment, and it boasts low turnover, evidenced by the previous employee's 20-year tenure in the role Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Branchburg, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.85/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
