Logistics Coordinator
Job Title: Logistics CoordinatorJob Description

We are seeking a temporary Logistics Coordinator to play a crucial role in organizing, scheduling, and documenting transportation services to support an efficient supply chain. This position involves interaction with vendors and customers to confirm delivery dates, resolve issues, and manage material handling.

ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with team members and customers to ensure understanding of delivery routes, dates, and schedules.Create necessary shipping documents, manage electronic filing, and track delivery information in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).Organize orders and prioritize delivery routes.Track usage of material handling equipment to ensure efficient utilization.Update planned ship dates in the company’s ERP system for all kits.Monitor Proof of Delivery (POD) for shipments and update actual delivery dates in the ERP system.Order appropriate transportation equipment for shipments.Update logistics metrics (KPIs) related to loading time, shipments processed, and time required to complete shipments.Provide shipping confirmation and tracking information to the Project Team.Respond to customer inquiries and escalate issues to the Logistics Manager as needed.Verify completed outbound orders pending shipment.Coordinate with Material Handlers to verify paperwork and material information.Coordinate cleanups and material pick-up from job sites and Warehouse Management.Maintain 7S compliance and a culture of safety.Receive inbound calls/emails and update Inbound Appointment calendar on the shared drive.Essential SkillsWarehousing experienceERP experienceComputer literacyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitaskAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma and 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.2+ years of general office experience.1+ year of customer service experience.Strong organization and time management skills.Knowledge of Department of Transportation requirements is a plus.Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.1+ year experience with Microsoft Dynamics (AX) or equivalent database.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The Logistics Coordinator will operate primarily in an office and warehouse environment. The role involves exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, vibrations, and moving mechanical parts. The work schedule is fully in-office from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. The assignment length is initially set for six months, with a possibility of extension.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
