Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our shipment processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our logistics department by verifying outgoing shipments, managing shipping supplies, and assisting with customer service needs. This role requires punctuality and adaptability as you will support various departments.

Responsibilities

Provide a second check verification of accuracy for shipments leaving the company.Assist in various logistics department tasks.Receive and restock shipping supplies.Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.Assist with customer service needs, including answering phones and greeting visitors professionally.Perform daily second checks for all outgoing orders, ensuring material accuracy compared to paperwork before shipment.Assist in packaging orders for shipments.Train to be backup for ELISA Kit and AP vials order fulfillment.Receive and organize shipping supplies in the warehouse.Notify logistics manager of low inventory as needed.Manage ice packs in freezer.Facilitate lab coats and laundry pickup and drop off.Assist in vialing, labeling, raw material receiving, and material requests as needed.Keep work and storage areas clean and remove garbage as necessary.Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.Respectfully take direction from Logistics Manager.

Essential Skills

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Two or more years of related experience in administration, warehousing, and/or training or equivalent education.Attention to detail.Ability to multi-task.Ability to work on feet 80% of the day.Math skills including understanding of volume and units.Teamwork mentality.Ability to present oneself in a helpful manner to customers and clients.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Work Environment

The position requires standing for approximately 80% of the day and working at a desk part of the day. The work environment is casual, but presentable attire such as jeans and a shirt is required. Headphones are not permitted in order to maintain an inclusive and welcoming environment. The role also involves sitting at the front desk to cover for the receptionist or taking calls when needed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will frequently use a computer.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
