Logistics Coordinator
Job Title: Logistics CoordinatorJob Description

This role is primarily responsible for scheduling and booking vessels, performing warehouse transactions, ensuring on-time delivery, and controlling costs among other logistics activities. The position requires utilizing product knowledge, processes, systems, and collaborating with team members to achieve efficient logistics operations.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the delivery of sales orders to customers.Coordinate the delivery of purchase orders from factories to warehouses.Process receiving, delivery, and transfer transactions.Maintain a weekly schedule and a 12-month vessel consolidation plan.Transfer inventory and track shipments.Send RFQs to logistics providers and book shipments as needed.Provide status updates to colleagues upon request.Ensure on-time delivery and control costs.Review receiving documents for completeness and accuracy.Review logistics invoices for accuracy.Interface and collaborate with customer service and supply chain teams.Perform problem-solving for non-complex issues with colleagues.Communicate effectively with suppliers outside of typical business hours.
Essential SkillsProficiency in logistics, inventory management, freight handling, supply chain processes, shipping and receiving.Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.Ability to perform order entry, customer service tasks, and data entry.Knowledge of ocean freight and inventory control.Sales administration and clerical skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of logistics experience.Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, quotations, RFQs, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.Proficiency in basic algebra.Experience operating in an ERP system.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
