Description

Primarily responsible for scheduling and booking vessels, performing warehouse transactions, on time delivery, cost controls among other Logistics activities utilizing product knowledge, processes, systems, and team members.

Roles and Responsibilities

Coordinate delivery of Sales Orders to customersCoordinate delivery of Purchase Orders from factories to warehouses.Process receiving, delivery and transfer transactions.Maintain weekly schedule and 12-month vessel consolidation planTransfer inventoryTrack shipmentsSend RFQ’s to Logistics providers for and book as approvedProvide status updates to colleagues as requestedEnsures on-time delivery and controls costsReview receiving documents to ensure file completeness and accuracy.Review Logistics invoices for accuracy.Interface and collaborate with Customer Service, Supply Chain and EngineeringPerform problem solving for noncomplex issues with colleaguesBe able to communicate with suppliers outside of typical business hours.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years Logistics experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, quotations,RFQ’s, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient MicrosoftWord and Excel software. Individual should also have experience operating in an ERP System.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.
