Job Description
This position is responsible for ensuring smooth operations of supply chains across the NAM region by handling shipments efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure timely pick-up and delivery of containers and act as a contact point for carrier and warehouse.Follow up on last mile deliveries.Review freight rates and other transportation/demurrage costs to minimize working costs.Monitor forecast demurrage and other transportation expenses on a weekly basis.Analyze container arrivals against port congestion and suggest new routes to reduce transit time and cost.Coordinate customs release and collaborate with customs brokers.Support and review payment issues with vendors and Accounts Payable.Essential SkillsExperience within logistics or transportation.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Attention to detail.Time management skills.Effective communication skills.Ability to work well with others.Multitasking capabilities.Strong organizational skills.Ability to work well under deadlines.Additional Skills & QualificationsSAP experience is a plus.Continuous Improvement experience is highly advantageous.Being bilingual in Spanish, German, or Portuguese is a plus.Work Environment
This is a hybrid position with a flexible dress code depending on your location for the day. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break. The location features multiple buildings, with this position situated apart from the manufacturing plant. There are other procurement/supply chain employees onsite, offering opportunities for collaboration.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00/hr.
