Job Description

Responsibilities:

Coordinates and monitors Canada domestic and International Inbound shipments with compliance to company and industry standards.Ensures appropriate carrier and service level are selected based on company objectives for delivery and costMaintains shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customers on requestManages invoices pertaining to transportation and packaging expensesPro-actively addresses performance defects to ensure successful operationsIdentifies and supports initiatives conducive to greater efficiency and cost savingsCross-functionally collaborates with internal key stakeholders to support continual improvement

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related fieldProficient knowledge of logistics terminology and operations, including various modes of transportation and the considerations for pricing and routingUnderstanding of Canada Customs, IATA, and Canada Transportation regulations pertinent to transportationComprehension of supply chain processes and lean manufacturing conceptsInvolvement in identifying and resolving complex issuesExperience in recording, maintaining, and reporting accurate data

Demonstrated ability to professionally read, write, and speak in EnglishStrong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environmentAdept communication and analytical skillsProficient with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to successfully resolve problems with internal and external stakeholdersPrior experience within manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain managementProven ability to prioritize various initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment
