Deal Setup requires attention to detail, data-entry, and ability to interpret legal/credit documents. Data sourced from documents is used to enrich the loan system with customer/facility details as well as funding details, pricing rules, repayment schedules, and invoice set-up for principal, interest, and fees.
The Loan Origination Specialist III is an intermediate role within Deal Setup. The candidate filling this position will be responsible for moderate complexity, fast-paced work, that builds the foundation for career progression into complex transactions. Career progression is based on overall work performance and contribution to the team and process.
Job responsibilities:
Complete assigned Deal Setup cases within designated Service LevelsComparing booking package documentation & closing checklists against internal credit systems & proposalsEnter data of customer, facility, and loan details into the loan system(s)Timely attestation/correction of Quality errors and Service Level breachesMaintain prompt and proactive communication with business partners as to the status of their booking caseMinimize credit and business risk through awareness of procedure, compliance, and bank policyParticipating in projects and working groups as requiredRequired qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
Working knowledge of loan documents or ability to quickly learn legal terms found within promissory notes, credit agreements, collateral documents, etcExceptional customer service skills including excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skillsAbility to effectively multi-task and prioritize workloads while working within tight service levels.Strong organizational and time management skills.Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy with completed workAbility to maintain consistent performance levels in high demand environmentAbility to think outside the box and generate ideas for process improvementsCreation of PDF batch work for quality control/two-touch and document repositories
Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
2 years of prior (back office) loan operations and/or quality control experience in a banking or financial services industry preferred
