Job Description
Under the supervision of the assembly manager, the assembler will work in a new, very clean facility, assembling large systems for the energy sector.
ResponsibilitiesFollow the work process steps using visual management tools.Assemble products.Retrieve materials ready to be hung on the paint line and hang them.Unhook parts and stack them to ensure quality.Secure parts using electric and pneumatic tools.Package parts for shipment.Install screws, bolts, and studs in metal parts.Operate the crimping machine.Ensure quality is maintained according to procedures.Mask portions of parts to be paint-free according to client specifications.Supply materials to operators using manual or electric pallet jacks.Transport materials to other departments.Lift metal parts weighing up to 50 lbs.Essential SkillsExperience in the manufacturing industry.Proficiency with hand and power tools.1-2 years of experience in production work and manual labor.Experience in assembly with pneumatic tools.Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 lbs.Experience with tools such as rivet guns is a must.Mechanical aptitude and industrial manufacturing experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.Positive attitude.Ability to meet deadlines and align productivity with organizational performance indicators.Adaptability, learning, and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and resourcefulness.Advanced bilingualism in French and English is an asset.Mechanical knowledge.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Job Type: Contract to Hire positionLocation: Chateauguay, Quebec.If you are interested, and meet all job must haves, please apply or send an updated resume to **abaride@aerotek.com**
