**Job Title: Shipping Loader** **Job Description** The Shipping Loader directs, assists, and ensures products are safely loaded for the customer. This role is responsible for the layout, quality, efficiency, and engagement of a shipping team. It ensures shipments are complete through the use of scanners, tablets, and computer programs. **Responsibilities** + Ensure all safety guidance is followed for the team. + Responsible for the quality of products being loaded. + Properly identify, count, and record all materials as loaded. + Interpret and direct trailer loading as per the load layout configuration. + Properly load, pack, and secure all materials in trailers to ensure safety and prevent damage in transit. + Handle steel sections overhead. + Assume other duties as assigned by leadership. **Essential Skills** + 1 to 2 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience. + 1 to 2 years of shipping experience ensuring proper loading, packing, and securing of materials on trailers. + Ability to read blueprints and layouts. + Proficient with various computer applications, scanners, and tablets. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in general labor, unloading, loading, assembly, production, and forklift operation. + Ability to positively motivate, direct, and assist the team. **Work Environment** The role involves loading and staging trucks. It requires standing throughout the entire shift, with short distance walking. Lifting and stacking of banded door panels to various levels is required. The maximum individual lifting limit is forty-five pounds, and teamwork is necessary for heavier items. The environment may include noisy and high-temperature conditions, with both manual and clerical duties using a computer and/or tablet. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, KS. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $42120.00 - $45240.00/yr.
