Litigation Paralegal (Workers Compensation and Personal Injury)

FlexStaff is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for our client, a leading NYS Personal Injury Law Firm in Nassau County. This is an onsite position in Rockville Centre.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years' experience handling labor law workers comp cases as well as premises and motor vehicle cases, from inception through trial. The candidate should also have experience with litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, e-filing and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:
+ Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, documents and pleadings, motions and other case filings
+ Request, review and organize medical bills and records
+ Work with attorneys for trial preparation including lining up witnesses, preparing jury instructions, voir dire, exhibits and verdict sheets
+ Respond to discovery, prepare correspondence, and e-file pleadings
+ Prepare cases for final disbursal
Qualifications:
+ Paralegal Certificate or extensive experience preferred
+ Excellent communication and organization abilities
+ Experience using legal database software and tasking system
+ Microsoft Office experience preferred

The salary range for this position is $70000-$80000/year
