Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a well‑established Central Illinois law firm to recruit an experienced Litigation Paralegal. This full‑time role is based in the Bloomington, IL area and offers the potential for a hybrid or partially remote schedule.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation, along with proven experience managing cases through all stages of the litigation lifecycle - including pleadings, motions, discovery, expert coordination, and trial preparation. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. A commitment to high‑quality client service is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct medical research to support litigation strategyIdentify, recommend, and coordinate expert witnesses and consultantsReview, summarize, and organize medical recordsAssist attorneys with case development and trial preparationProvide support during trials as neededDraft pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documentsInterview witnesses and gather relevant case informationPrepare interim case status reportsReview discovery materials and assist with information managementSupport special projects and additional tasks as assigned

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical malpractice litigation paralegalStrong research, writing, and analytical skillsAbility to manage a high‑volume caseload efficientlyExcellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detailProven ability to prioritize deadlines and handle multiple tasksProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Paralegal certification preferred
