Beacon Hill Legal is hiring a Litigation Legal Secretary to support litigation attorneys as part of a collaborative, team-based legal support group at a large downtown St. Louis law firm.

This role provides comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to litigation attorneys, working closely with other legal support professionals to ensure efficient and accurate case management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide litigation support to multiple attorneys as part of a shared support team

Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents with a high level of accuracy

Perform transcription and typing (70+ WPM required)

Manage time entry and work within document management systems

Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems

Communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, and external contacts

Adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of legal secretarial or litigation support experience

Typing speed of 70 WPM or higher

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook; familiarity with Excel preferred

Experience with time entry and document management systems

Excellent grammar, proofreading, and written communication skills

Strong organizational and filing skills

Dependable, team-oriented professional who works well collaboratively

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Some college coursework preferred

One or more years of professional law firm or related office experience

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Advanced typing and document formatting skills

Solid understanding of spelling, grammar, and punctuation

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general internet use

Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills

Knowledge of general office procedures; law firm experience preferred

Schedule & Compensation:

Full-time hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
