What we're looking for?

We need a 3rd-5th year associate with strong complex litigation experience, excellent research and writing skills, and stellar academic credentials from a top law school. You should be comfortable with a high-stakes, in-office team environment and have a track record of handling sophisticated legal matters.

Bonus points if you have prior federal judicial clerkship experience or a proven interest in environmental law.

What you'll do:

Handle sophisticated matters ranging from cutting-edge litigation to complex regulatory matters and enforcement defense.

Take ownership of legal research, writing, and preparation for court appearances and trials.

Work closely with partners such as Navi Dhillon, Sean Unger, Deborah Schmall, Chris Carr, and Peter Meier on diverse cases.

Develop and apply litigation skills, including motion practice and court appearances, through hands-on experience with the team.

Contribute to cross-office and cross-departmental work, gaining exposure to various clients and matters.

  3 - 5 years of experience as a litigation associate   Salary $260K - $365K (Paul Hastings offers lockstep compensation. The base salary for this role is competitive and on par with other peer firms, ranging from $260,000 to $365,000, depending on the year of experience. For a 3rd year associate, the salary is $260,000; for a 4th year, it's $310,000; and for a 5th year, it's $365,000.
