Job Title: Linen Worker

Job Description

The Linen Worker will be responsible for distributing and organizing linens across various floors at VCU hospital. This role involves navigating bins weighing approximately 50 pounds throughout the hospital and ensuring all linens are placed in their designated spots. Interaction is limited to nursing staff, with no access to patient rooms.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

Experience in janitorial, general labor, or housekeeping roles.Ability to handle material and cleaning tasks efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong soft skills such as attendance and eagerness to learn.Ability to comply with hospital policies regarding appearance, including maintaining short nails and avoiding acrylic nails.

Work Environment

The role is based onsite at VCU hospital with openings at the Main Campus. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 11am to 7:30pm and every third weekend from 6am to 2:30pm. Employees will undergo orientation and receive five blue scrub uniforms, which must be returned upon termination of employment. Sneakers are acceptable attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
