Summary
Coordinates a variety of administrative functions for the Environmental Services and Internal Linen Departments. Coordinates all linens for the hospital and RCF, reconciles vendor invoices, resolves issues and prepares departmental linen usage reports for departments. Provides clerical support to Environmental Services and Linen Departments including filing, sorting, data entry, typing, and answering phones. Collaborates with EVS Supervisor on scheduling, training, quality improvement/process improvement activities which include quality assurance inspections, customer interviews and blacklight inspections. Will perform duties of EVS/Linen Aide as needed based on changing Operational needs of the department.
Experience
Three years prior experience performing duties related to environmental services; supply management in a healthcare environment is required. Exposure to and understanding of PC software applications is preferred.
Education
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Essential Functions
1. Assist supervisor with duties which include but are not limited to, responding to service calls, prioritizing requests, and delegating as necessary. This position will also assist the Director with scheduling and screening candidates for hire.
2. Assist with timekeeping and pay/leave administration, workman’s compensation, and performing necessary research related to these issues.
3. Develops and maintains an awareness of available linen resources and makes recommendations to Director for Environmental Services regarding needs, distribution, or redistribution of these resources.
4. Assists with administrative functions in support of department objectives to include review and approval of shift reports and duty logs, maintenance of departmental compliance files and department information boards.
5. Coordinates the linen management program to include the review of invoices, oversight of the linen reject process, completion of quality inspections and vendor audits.
6. Coordinates equipment and supply process for the department which includes development and maintenance of inventory, management of par levels on all supplies.
7. Assists staff with bed tracking and related bed tracking reports. Assign discharge cleans as needed.
8. Operates Epic Rovers and Vocera systems to facilitate effective communication within the department and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks..
9. Provides ongoing training and assistance to new and incumbent personnel regarding off policies and procedures and ensures ongoing compliance with these requirements.
10. Assist with weekly inspections of eyewash stations and maintain associated records.
11. Generates purchase orders for Linen/Environmental Services. Compares packing slips/invoices to purchase orders for accuracy. Reports any discrepancies to the Director. Reviews bills received against invoices for accuracy and submits bills for payment in a timely fashion.
12. Maintains cycle cleaning logs and waste manifests.
13. Conducts period time studies for the Finance department.

Pay rate ranges from $17.00 - $25.80 per hour.
