Job Description
The Line Operator is responsible for operating an extrusion line to ensure all products are produced free from cosmetic and physical defects and meet manufacturing tolerances. This role involves ensuring the quality of the product run, adjusting and documenting operating conditions to produce the highest attainable quality of pipe safely and efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesPhysically operate the extrusion line to produce quality products.Ensure all products are free from cosmetic and physical defects.Adjust and document operating conditions to maintain product quality.Maintain safety and efficiency in all operations.Essential SkillsExperience in machine operation, line operation, and quality inspection.Proficiency in plastics extrusion and machine learning.1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work outdoors in any weather condition.Capacity to remain stationary 80-100% of the time, with occasional squatting, bending, or stooping.Skill in operating hand and pneumatic powered strapping tools, chains, slings, and hooks.Competence in using microprocessor equipment and keyboards.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and push/pull pipe stalks and coils weighing up to 60 pounds with reasonable assistance.Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work on elevated platforms.Alertness to mobile machinery and ability to cope with extrusion equipment pressures running continuously.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work primarily takes place indoors on the plant floor, with exposure to heat, dust, and noise. Some tasks require working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $19.50/hr.
