Job Title: Line Leader

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Leader to oversee a team of nine individuals across various departments such as materials, logistics, warehouse, aluminum, caliper machining, and caliper assembly. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to being at the line 100% of the time, ensuring efficient operations and prioritizing order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee a line of nine people.Understand and prioritize the orders and determine the sequence of part production.Facilitate lineside meetings, create schedules, and ensure correct runs are completed.Communicate between shifts and attend shift handoff meetings.Ensure the line has the correct parts for each run and pull parts as necessary.Train new employees and provide ongoing training to team members.Enforce proper use of personal protective equipment.Communicate staffing needs and issues to the supervisor.Conduct line checks using gauges, calipers, and measuring tools.Maintain the FIFO (First In, First Out) process.Implement process improvements and 5S methodologies.

Essential Skills

At least 2 years of leadership experience.Proficiency with gauges, calipers, and measuring equipment.Experience with FIFO processes.Ability to delegate and prioritize orders.Hands-on approach and willingness to work on the line.Basic computer skills and data entry experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Findlay, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
