The Line Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a production line, ensuring efficient operation, adherence to safety standards, and the production of high-quality products. The Line Lead will provide guidance and support to line operators, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision:Lead and supervise a team of line operators, providing guidance, training, and support.Delegate tasks effectively and ensure proper allocation of resources.Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.Production Operations:Oversee the operation of the production line, ensuring efficient and continuous production.Monitor production output and identify areas for improvement.Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.Ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.Quality Control:Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure product quality meets established standards.Conduct regular inspections of finished products to identify defects or deviations.Take corrective action to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.Maintain accurate records of quality control checks and findings.Safety & Compliance:Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for line operators.Identify and address potential safety hazards.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.Maintenance & Housekeeping:Oversee routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment.Ensure proper storage of materials and supplies.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Reporting & Documentation:Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and other relevant metrics.Prepare reports on production performance and identify trends.Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.More about this role
