Line 2 Risk SME
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk and Compliance team at Mercer Super. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
We will count on you to:
Provide Line 2 risk oversight and assurance for a regulator-mandated risk transformation program uplifting Mercer Super’s Risk Management Framework.Review and maintain key program governance and assurance artefacts, conduct design and operating effectiveness reviews of frameworks, policies, controls, and GRC solution deployments.Produce detailed reporting for Board and Management Committees, highlighting governance and assurance challenges and providing sound recommendations.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the appointed Independent Expert and coach teams to uplift risk and compliance management practices.Support initiatives to enhance risk awareness, skills, and capability across the business.What you need to have:
University-level qualifications in business management or equivalent.5–10 years of experience in risk or compliance roles, with demonstrated Line 2 oversight expertise.Experience in large regulatory transformation programs, preferably within financial services or superannuation industries.Strong knowledge of risk and compliance management principles, financial services, and superannuation regulatory requirements.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.What makes you stand out:
