**Light Industrial Assembler -** **1st Shift**
**Position Summary**
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented **Light Industrial Assembler** to join our team. This role supports production and warehouse operations through inventory management, hose assembly, equipment maintenance, and participation in safety and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, safety‑focused, and comfortable working both independently and in small teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Participate in inventory cycle counts; maintain stock through tagging, stacking, sorting, and organizing materials.
+ Measure, cut, crimp, wrap, and install fittings on hoses for shipment.
+ Independently complete production assignments and assembly work to quality standards.
+ Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and all shop work areas.
+ Adhere to all safety guidelines and actively participate in lean and continuous improvement activities.
+ Identify and recommend process improvements related to quality, safety, and efficiency.
+ Perform all duties of a Level 1 Helper as required.
+ Assist with order entry and documentation as needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience in production, assembly, or a light industrial manufacturing environment.
+ Proficient with tape measures, hand tools, and power tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
+ Strong measurement, assembly, and inspection skills.
+ Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience assembling hoses using crimping equipment.
+ Basic computer and PC proficiency.
+ Forklift Operator (FLO) and pallet jack experience (preferred).
+ Previous warehouse, inventory, or cycle counting experience.

**Work Environment**
This position is located in a **small, team‑based facility** with approximately 10 assembly employees. Team members are cross‑trained across multiple functions, requiring flexibility and a willingness to learn various aspects of the shop. Work is performed independently and collaboratively once training is complete.
**Schedule:** 1st shift.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middle River, MD.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
