**Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description** As an Assembler, you will be responsible for performing basic start-up and shutdown procedures for machine operations and loading materials in machining. You will set up tooling, make basic machine adjustments as necessary, and check machined parts visually and dimensionally to meet production standards. Your role will include polishing and applying finishes to parts using various equipment, reading and processing basic blueprint details, and assembling parts for packaging and shipping. **Responsibilities** + Perform basic start-up and shutdown procedures for machine operations and loading materials. + Setup tooling and make basic machine adjustments as necessary. + Check machined parts visually and dimensionally to meet production standards. + Polish and apply finishes to parts using different equipment. + Read and process basic blueprint details using calipers, gauges, and dial indicators. + Assemble parts and package final products for shipping. + Recognize and report any machine malfunctions and part discrepancies to department leader. + Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and adding oils and coolants. + Report any machine malfunctions immediately to the department manager. + Keep the work area and equipment safe, clean, and organized. + Assist in the shop as needed. **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of experience in assembly. + At least 1 year of experience reading blueprints. + At least 2 years of experience using hand tools, calipers, and gauges. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preferably previous experience using calipers. + Experience operating machines in an industrial environment is preferred. **Why Work Here?** The position offers a short contract-to-hire opportunity within 90 days, providing stability and career growth potential. **Work Environment** You will be working in a sneeze guard manufacturing facility.
