Our client, a healthcare organization dedicated to supporting the academic community, is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join their team. As a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, you will be supporting the medical team at the University of Michigan. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Licensed Pharmacy Technician

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Pay Range: $23.00/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday; 9:00am-5:00pm

What's the Job?

Participate in prescription dispensing processes including patient profiling, preparing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals under supervision. Utilize pharmacy computer systems to manage prescription processes, including profiling and refilling orders. Respond to pharmacy telephone inquiries, addressing patient requests and concerns with professionalism and excellent communication skills. Assist in inventory management, ensuring appropriate stock levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies. Support third-party prescription insurance processes and handle pharmacy payments accurately.

What's Needed?

Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in pharmacy or related fields. High School diploma or GED; additional advanced degrees are a plus. Proficiency in verbal communication, data entry, and customer service skills. Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and clinical pharmacy procedures is preferred.
