Overview of the role : 

Saputo Dairy Products Canada is seeking a Licensed Industrial Mechanic for our Mount Pearl Milk Facility.   Under the responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining / monitoring and repairing production equipment.

Schedule: 40 Hours Per week – could include nights and/or weekends  
 

Salary: $39.80 Plus Premiums as Per Collective Agreement

How you will make contributions that matter: 

Repair and maintain production equipment, both processing and packagingTroubleshoot equipment failures and breakdownsWork with scheduled Preventive Maintenance and Work Order systemResponsible for mechanical overhaul, shop machines and toolsOther duties as required

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications: 
 

Must possess a Provincial Certificate as an Industrial MechanicExperience in a food processing facility, as well as experience with automatic controls/PLC’s would be an assetCandidates must be strong independent individuals while possessing the ability to function within a highly integrated team environmentPrevious production experience is an assetExperience or ability to be trained in operating multiple pieces of processing equipmentDemonstrated solid multi-tasking, problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skillsSafety FocusedAdvanced mechanical and technical aptitudeProven communication and inter-personal skillsShould exhibit initiative, positive attitude, good judgement, diligence, and have an excellent work and attendance record
