Job Summary

EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a licensed Electrician in Washington, DC. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

 

Under general supervision the Electrician will  perform journeyman-level work in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instrumentsTest electrical equipment for safety and efficiencyPlan the layout and wiring of new or remodeled installationsFabricate electrical partsInspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; inspect related work performed by contractorsEstimate cost, time and materials for electrical projectsParticipate in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shopClean, maintain and service tools and equipment used in the performance of duties Qualifications Must have a Journeyman Electrician or higher License3 years of experience as an Electrician in a commercial or industrial settingMust have or be able to obtain a security clearance
