We are currently seeking a Level 2 Video Streaming Engineer (with German) to join our team in Remote, Constanța (RO-CT), Romania (RO).

Role Summary
The Level 2 Video Streaming Engineer provides advanced operational support, troubleshooting, and optimisation of live and on-demand video streaming platforms. The role focuses on resolving complex technical issues escalated from Level 1, ensuring high availability, performance, and quality of video delivery services across enterprise, broadcast, and OTT environments.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

Provide Level 2 support for live and on-demand video streaming servicesTroubleshoot and resolve complex streaming, encoding, delivery, and playback issuesInvestigate and resolve incidents escalated from Level 1 support within agreed SLAsPerform root cause analysis and implement preventative and permanent fixesMonitor stream health, latency, bitrate, QoS/QoE, and service availabilitySupport live events, broadcasts, and high-profile streaming sessionsConfigure and maintain streaming infrastructure, encoders, players, and CDNsAssist with onboarding new channels, customers, and streaming workflowsApply software updates, configuration changes, and patches following change processesLiaise with vendors, CDN providers, and third-party partners during incidentsMaintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational proceduresProvide technical guidance and mentoring to Level 1 engineersParticipate in on-call and out-of-hours support rotations


Knowledge Skills & Attributes

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills under time-sensitive conditionsSolid understanding of video streaming architectures and workflowsAbility to analyse logs, metrics, and network traffic to isolate issuesCalm and methodical approach during live incidents and service degradationStrong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholdersCustomer-focused mindset with attention to service quality and viewer experienceAbility to manage multiple concurrent incidents and prioritiesDetail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skillsWillingness to learn emerging streaming technologies and standards


Academic Qualifications & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Broadcast / Media Engineering

Required Experience

2–4 years’ experience in video streaming, broadcast engineering, or media operationsExperience supporting live streaming, VOD platforms, or OTT servicesExperience working in a NOC, broadcast operations, or managed services environmentHands-on experience supporting live events and time-critical broadcastsFamiliarity with incident, problem, and change management processes\"
