Beacon Hill is respresenting a client seeking a Legal Secretary for a temporary to permanent, hybrid role located in Downtown Dallas. This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule, during standard business hours.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop construction case chronologies (previous construction defect experience is required)Schedule depositions, mediations, inspections, and meetingsCalendar and monitor discovery deadlines, depositions, hearings, and other events (scheduling proficiency is imperative)Order, review and summarize depositions, workers' comp., employment, and medical records (medical background is not necessary but previous experience in the area is preferred)Review, analyze and organize document production by opposing parties and co-defendantsRespond to and subpoena recordsDraft discovery responses, notices, basic motions, orders, and settlement agreementsPrepare records, assemble exhibits, pleadings, discovery, and trial preparationPrepare open records requestsAttend selected depositions and meetings with clients, witnesses, and other counselState and federal e-filingOrganization and electronic file management of large, document-intensive casesInteract capably with clients and legal professionals

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree, and/or paralegal certification3+ years construction defect experience3+ years personal injury defense experienceProficiency in Microsoft ExcelScheduling proficiencyExcellent written and oral communicationStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently or as part of a team
