Legal & Compliance Business Manager

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Legal & Compliance team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico’s City office (Arcos Bosques). This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

What can you expect?

The role is to serve as a trusted Legal & Compliance Manager to Marsh providing high quality, effective and efficient support across all business lines. The role will also encompass both legal and compliance responsibilities, spanning among others, compliance policies and procedures and associated monitoring, training and communications.

A core element of the role will be to provide regulatory compliance support. The Legal and Compliance Manager will support the Business in terms of contract and compliance management initiatives. 

We will count on you to

Support and advice of legal entities within the business for the different internal lines of business of Marsh, both in legal matters as well as review and compliance on Compliance issues, including the drafting and review of all types of complex agreements/contracts with clients, service providers, insurers, and business partners. Review and investigation of Compliance cases. Support the implementation of new regulations. Coordination with various external law firms on civil, intellectual property, criminal, labor, and corporate matters. Advise the different lines of business on conflict-of-interest issues, sanctions, gift and entertainment matters, and policy compliance. Address regulatory requirementsPartner with senior colleagues in contract negotiations, compliance, and maintenance of existing and new legal contracts.  Manage relationship with external law firmsTeam Workflow ManagementManage day-to-day internal and external activitiesMentor junior team membersManage workflow timelines appropriately 

What you need to have:

A qualified lawyer, with significant experience in corporate matters, an insurance broker (nice to have) or financial servicesYou must have 5+ years of experience in a related contract management discipline in the private sector where you are able to demonstrate a proven track record of coordinating teams to deliver appropriate outcomes.  Must be able to communicate clearly and influence effectively.Strong technical knowledge of corporate and commercial law.Strong track record in planning and organizing effectively, creating value and capturing know-how.Able to support and embrace change.Team player who is willing to support and contribute the business as a partner.Proficient in Microsoft Office suites, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively with attorneys. Technical review experience related to contractual terms and conditions and other contractual requirements.
