Legal Assistant / Paralegal – Injury Litigation Focus
About the Firm:
Join a growing law firm specializing in workers' compensation and personal injury litigation. With a collaborative team of 17–20 professionals and plans for expansion, this is a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence
+ Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and track deadlines
+ Organize and maintain case files and legal records
+ Summarize medical records and other case-related documentation
+ Handle medical billing and related administrative tasks
+ Provide general clerical and legal support to attorneys and staff
Required Skills & Experience:
+ Minimum 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
+ Strong background in litigation support, particularly in personal injury or workers' compensation
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
+ Solid understanding of legal terminology, contracts, and billing practices
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
+ Degree preferred but not required
Preferred Skills:
+ Legal administrative support
+ File management and document preparation
+ Experience with legal billing systems
+ Familiarity with medical records and summarization
+ Knowledge of legal procedures and court filing processes
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
