**Position Purpose:**
The Legal Assistant provides high-level, independent legal and administrative support to executive leadership and the Legal function. This role manages complex legal processes, coordinates with outside counsel and regulatory agencies, and exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing legal matters. The position operates with minimal supervision and plays a critical role in ensuring legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations are met across the organization.
**Major Functional Responsibilities:**
+ Independently manage responses to subpoenas, administrative claims, and legal information requests, including coordination, documentation, and timely production of materials.
+ Organize, analyze, and prepare discovery materials for production to outside counsel, exercising judgment in compiling and prioritizing responsive information.
+ Serve as a primary liaison with outside counsel, courts, and government agencies on procedural and administrative legal matters.
+ Administer and oversee the contract management system, including tracking execution, renewals, amendments, and compliance with contractual obligations.
+ Prepare, e-file, and manage legal documents and filings with courts and agencies in accordance with applicable rules and deadlines.
+ Maintain and manage the legal calendar, independently monitoring deadlines, hearings, and regulatory timelines to ensure compliance.
+ Draft and issue legal correspondence, including non-solicitation and demand-related letters, based on established legal guidance and executive direction.
+ Support collections and dispute-related matters by coordinating documentation, communications, and next steps with internal stakeholders and counsel.
+ Provide direct executive-level support to Legal leadership, exercising discretion in prioritizing legal requests and managing competing deadlines.
+ Identify process improvements and recommend efficiencies related to legal operations, document management, and compliance workflows.
+ Handle highly confidential legal, contractual, and employee-related information with discretion and professional judgment.
+ Performs other duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications:**
Required Education:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Work Experience:
• 3 - 5 Years - Progressive experience as a Legal Assistant, Executive Legal Assistant, or similar
role supporting senior leadership or executives
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience independently managing complex legal processes, including subpoena responses,
discovery coordination, contract administration, and court or agency filings
• Proven ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in handling sensitive legal and confidential
matters
• Experience working directly with outside counsel, regulatory agencies, and internal executive stakeholders
• Computer savvy and familiar with Adobe and Microsoft enterprise applications such as Outlook, Word, Teams,
and Excel
• Experience with legal research and drafting programs like Westlaw or Lexis Nexis would be a significant plus
• Familiar with contract management systems and DocuSign
