Job Title: Legal Administrative Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Administrative Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to make the role your own, and we are looking for someone eager to learn and grow within the legal field.

Responsibilities

Organize files for each transaction, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.Assist in the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.Support in the preparation and coordination of board and committee meetings, including drafting agendas, resolutions, and minutes.Conduct legal research and provide support on various corporate and securities law matters.Liaise with external counsel and regulatory agencies as needed.Stay current on real estate law and procedures to provide accurate and up-to-date advice.Use strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring each is handled efficiently and accurately.Maintain the litigation tracking system and communicate updates to executives.Review and assess legal invoices.

Essential Skills

Legal administrative support and paralegal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience in litigation and negotiation.Strong organizational and file management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in paralegal, real estate, or related field required.Minimum 3 years of experience as a corporate paralegal, preferably in a public company or law firm.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to multi-task and work on several projects across multiple departments.Strong knowledge of corporate governance and securities law.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.High level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information.A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
