As an LEC-Associate within the Corporate and Investment Bank Global Finance & Business Management Asia-Pacific Controllers team, you will oversee the accounting and reporting of legal entity financial statements for both US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. You will manage Foreign Exchange Risk through trade-out and Capital Hedging, ensure compliance with regulatory reporting, and support senior management with financial performance analysis. Additionally, you will implement internal controls, manage relationships with onshore partners, and promote strategic projects and initiatives. Job Responsibilities
Oversee accounting and reporting of legal entity financial statements for US GAAP and local GAAP.Review and own FX risk management through trade-out and capital hedging in accordance with FASB (FAS 52) requirements. Monitor general ledger controls, including attributions, inter-entity and investment equity breaks, IFRS reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, including GLRS.Prepare and review regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with various US Federal requirements. Prepare and review management information summary decks to support senior management decision-making by analyzing financial performance.Report and ensure compliance with critical regulators such as RBI, HKMA, MAS, APRA, and others.Prepare and review BASEL, risk reporting, and capital management documentation. Report and analyze periodic financial statements, including balance sheet, profit and loss, off-balance sheet, and volume/exposure reporting as required by local regulations.Adhere to control metrics, legal entity control standards, and other policies, including review of booking models. Monitor daily controls and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.Maintain and develop relationships with onshore partners and business stakeholders. Implement internal control policies and procedures to mitigate financial and business risks.Migrate to strategic data sourcing platforms to enhance data integrity and efficiency. Evolve relationships with onshore teams and business units to foster collaboration.Review, drive, and implement strategic priorities, projects, and initiatives.Drive strategic conversations for ongoing projects, system implementations, and finance transformation initiatives. Lead a team to take complete ownership of deliverables and stakeholder management.Manage and prioritize multiple tasks across different time horizons to meet deadlines. Minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller backgroundShould be flexible with shifts but in general it will be an India login timing i.e. 9AM IST or earlier on certain days of the month depending on the critical functions being handled.
