Our client, a leading organization in the leasing and accounting sector, is seeking a Leasing/Accounting Analyst to join their team. As a Leasing/Accounting Analyst, you will be part of the finance department supporting various internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Leasing/Accounting Analyst
**Location:** New York, New York
**What's the Job?**
+ Analyze and record lease transactions in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
+ Apply basic accounting principles to accurately post journal entries, including debits and credits related to leases and lease modifications.
+ Reconcile lease-related accounts and support clean-up and validation of lease schedules.
+ Assist in month-end close procedures, including preparation of reconciliations and supporting documentation.
+ Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Leasing, Accounting, Finance) to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
+ 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, including applying debits and credits.
+ Solid understanding of general accounting practices.
+ Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar).
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on a deadline-driven project.
