Learning Instructional Design Lead

 The PCO learning team embeds the Learning Instructional Design Lead as part of the learning design function. The learning design function is broadly responsible for the design and development of all learning content across the PCO. The Learning Instructional Design Lead, reporting to the Associate Director of Learning Design, designs and develops enterprise learning solutions in partnership with education leads and important partners. This role takes responsibility for developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving all learning program content. This content is utilized by the PCO associates. The person in this role performs analysis, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates learning solutions.

Main Responsibilities

Use instructional design principles and methodologies, such as ADDIE, SAM, and AGILE Models, to design and storyboard enterprise learning content. This content supports all standard and market-specific learning programs for PCO associates, and is developed and implemented accordingly.Collaborate with education leads, project owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), business partners, key stakeholders, and external resource vendors to develop best-in-class learning content.Develop engaging learning programs and course content. These programs and content enhance retention and knowledge transfer. They include instructional materials such as courses, videos, curriculum, guides, and manuals, which are not limited to these. Additionally, they include supporting material/media like audio, video, simulations, role plays, and games. Learner assessment activities are also part of these programs.Make regular recommendations for new learning methods, routinely utilizes new technologies and methodologies in development of training content and makes recommendations for the appropriate technologies to best deliver the training content.Track, evaluate, and improve the effectiveness of existing learning content utilizing reports, metrics, and assessment tools; identify process improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions for learning experiences.Acts as a resource for department-specific training design and development and integration into the LMS.

This area is under the leadership of Humana's Primary Care Organization Learning Design Team.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degreeAt least five years of eLearning and VILT instructional design and development focused in adult learning/theoryAt least two years of project leadership experience across matrixed organizationPrior demonstrated capability leading teams and developing and maintaining a dynamic and high performing team culture.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including PowerPointExperience in eLearning tools such as Adobe suite, Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate 360, Vyond, or similar authoring toolMust have experience working in healthcare settingProgressive business and financial analytics experience with a focus on learning strategies and adult learning theories

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of Clinical Operations workflowsMaster's Degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration; Learning and Performance; Education; Human Resources, Organizational Design or Related field.Certification in instructional design
