The Learning & Development Trainer partners with Property Operations and People and Culture leaders to deliver high-impact learning experiences, drive operational performance, team engagement, and growth of our team members. This role serves as the “face” of learning and development, facilitating onboarding, core programs, and professional development initiatives that support organizational priorities across assigned regions. The goal is to foster a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization.The Trainer is responsible for building capability, consistency, and confidence across teams by delivering programs that align to business priorities and reflect Greystar’s values and culture. This position plays a key role in creating a culture of continuous learning, operational excellence, and career growth across the organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Program Delivery & FacilitationDeliver engaging learner-centered training sessions utilizing a variety of instructional methods, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid environments across assigned markets.Deliver learning programs and professional development initiatives to ensure consistent knowledge and application across roles.Support rollout of new business initiatives and policies by serving as a key facilitator and adoption coach.Deliver refresher courses and reinforcement sessions that address skill gaps and performance trends identified by regional leaders.Consultation & Business PartnershipPartner with Operations, Performance Managers, and L&D colleagues to identify learning needs aligned with business goals and regional priorities.Provide feedback and insights to the L&D design team to ensure content remains relevant, practical, and field-tested.Act as a trusted advisor to leaders by recommending training interventions and development resources to enhance team performance.Participate in regional business meetings and strategic conversations to ensure learning supports operational outcomes.Continuous Improvement & MeasurementPartner with L&D leadership to use data, learner feedback, and performance metrics to assess training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.Stay informed on industry trends and innovative facilitation techniques to enhance the learner experience.Collaborate with peers (trainers and performance managers) to ensure national consistency while adapting delivery to regional nuances and audience needs.Contribute to the design and refinement of learning materials, job aids, and microlearning resources as needed.Culture & EngagementChampion Greystar’s Pillars and Core Values and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion philosophy through every learning experience delivered.Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and growth.Serve as an ambassador for Greystar’s culture of excellence, learning, and belonging across all levels of the organization.BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred in Education, Communications, Business, Real Estate or related fields.2 years minimum experience that demonstrates the application and usage of an education or training background sufficient to design and provide educational information and training classes to staff and management in sales, service, operations, technology, and professional development.Knowledge and experience in property management preferred, or ability to learn business processes quickly to develop fact-based procedures, instructions, and training materials.Proficiency in oral presentation and interpersonal communication skills to make compelling oral presentations, facilitate and lead training programs for diverse audiences, deliver clear and concise instructions, lead question-and-answer and other discussions, manage conflict and disagreement, and bring closure to discussions and training sessions.SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
Highly effective communicator and presenter.Proficiency in Internet, Microsoft Office, and database management programs to complete required reports and documents.Specific knowledge of property management systems such as Yardi and/or OneSite/Entrata is preferred.TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Team members work in an office or remote work environment. No special physical demands are required.Travel required 50% to attend business meetings, training programs, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.SUCCESS PROFILE:

The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $85,000
Additional Compensation:
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
