We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Assistant (Learning Resource Center Coordinator) position located at our campus in Temecula, CA. Mt. San Jacinto Community College District seeks a Learning Assistant (Learning Resource Center Coordinator) to coordinate and oversee activities in the Learning Resource Center (LRC), a facility that houses a Writing Center, Math Center, general tutoring services, embedded tutoring, and supplemental instruction. The primary duties of the Learning Assistant (Learning Resource Center Coordinator) will require 1372 hours which equates to 196 service days per academic year, coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Learning Resource Center, tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, and embedded tutoring. This is a full-time tenure-track non-teaching academic position. Faculty members are expected to participate in college governance through Academic Senate appointments to standing councils, committees, and/or a variety of task forces. This position will work collaboratively with other divisions, departments, and services on campus to plan, develop, and support these programs. The Learning Assistant (Learning Resource Center Coordinator) works closely with the area Dean to plan, develop, support, and implement academic support programs with the LRC. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. The minimum qualifications to teach any master's level discipline in which learning assistance is provided at Mt. San Jacinto College District; (attach transcripts) OR 2. A Master's degree from an accredited institution in education, educational psychology, or instructional psychology, or other master's degree with emphasis in adult learning theory (attach transcripts) ***To ensure a fair and compliant screening process, application materials must only include minimal personal information. Experience in higher education, preferably within a Writing, Learning, or Tutorial Center, and a demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of community college education. 3. Proven commitment to inclusive pedagogies and the ability to respond to issues of diversity such as academic preparedness, culture, race, gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and disability. 4. Proficiency in instructional technologies and software applications, including online instruction tools, word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. 5.
