A dynamic and strategic Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is sought to lead and manage the L&D function within a fast-paced, technical organization. This hybrid role is ideal for a hands-on professional passionate about cultivating a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
The L&D Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing learning initiatives across the organization. This includes managing the Learning Management System (Absorb), supervising a direct report, and collaborating with department leaders to align training programs with organizational goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the L&D function from strategy through execution.Design and deliver engaging learning programs, including onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and compliance training.Manage and optimize the Absorb LMS, including content management, user administration, reporting, and system improvements.Supervise and mentor a direct report to ensure effective program delivery.Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and develop targeted learning solutions.Evaluate training effectiveness using metrics, feedback, and performance outcomes.Stay informed on L&D trends, tools, and best practices, particularly in technical and engineering environments.Coordinate with external training vendors and manage related budgets and contracts.Required SkillsLearning & development strategyHuman resources collaborationTraining development and documentationLearning Management System (LMS) administrationProficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience with Absorb LMS (preferred)QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, including at least 2 years in a leadership or ownership role.Proven experience managing an LMS, preferably Absorb.Strong project management and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical industries is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
