Leader I - Advisory

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Advisory team at Marsh. This role will be based in Philadelphia and New York. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Leader I - Advisory, you will oversee a team of advisory professionals, providing training, mentoring, and performance management to ensure exceptional client delivery. You will work closely with complex clients to understand strategic priorities and risk needs, leveraging deep risk and market expertise to design and execute placement and advisory strategies. You will also serve as a senior advisor and thought leader, contributing to the development of best practices and market insights across the business.

We will count on you to:

Train, mentor and oversee the performance management of the advisory team, coordinating workload and ensuring the team is appropriately staffed to meet evolving client needs.Manage and oversee proposals to existing and prospective clients and participate in key client meetings to position Marsh’s capabilities and solutions.Maintain a near complete understanding of clients’ strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs, providing tailored advice and recommending products, services and solutions for complex risks.Utilize substantial risk expertise and in-depth industry and insurance marketplace knowledge to review client exposures and loss experience, developing and executing renewal and placement strategies in conjunction with Placement, Advisory Leaders and Client Executives.Build and maintain strong client relationships, overseeing the production and quality of client deliverables and final placements to ensure standards of excellence are met.Engage in independent senior-level client interaction, serving as a problem solver and thought leader while staying current on changing risk and insurance market conditions and sharing insights internally and with clients.

What you need to have:

Significant experience in insurance, brokerage, or risk advisory roles with direct responsibility for complex commercial clients.Demonstrated success leading or mentoring teams, including coordinating workload, supporting development, and managing performance in a client-focused environment.Strong knowledge of risk management principles, insurance products, and market dynamics, with experience developing placement or renewal strategies.Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $154,200 to $328,400.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
