We are seeking a nurturing, experienced teacher who brings energy and creativity to work every day to join the Nestlé Purina Child Development Center team. Duties + Work with children in a one-on-one and group setting through meaningful, hands-on learning activities + Prepare and design weekly lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate and differentiated for all skill levels and student interests + Design and execute math, literacy, and science learning activities that allow students the opportunity to communicate orally and in writing + Use daily mealtimes with the class as a method to incorporate learning and social skills + Build schedules and routines for the students + Strategically plan the curriculum to target areas related to child development such as social, motor, and language skills + Proactively communicate expectations, criteria for assessment, student progress, and students’ strengths and opportunities to parents and students + Promote and model a positive and respectful learning environment that focuses on positive redirection + Establish trust and bond with the children and families in which you will serve + Maintain a safe and healthy classroom by following all center health and safety guidelines and rules + Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics Requirements + High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 of the following: + Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field + CDA Certification + 2+ years of experience working in early childhood Benefits + Health, Vision, and Dental insurance + Life insurance + Paid time off + Holidays (including extended days off at end of year) + Tuition reimbursement + Yearly Bonuses + Access to Nestlé Purina’s campus and amenities (walking trails, Starbucks, Full-Service Cafeteria, and The Store (+Discount) + Associates are eligible for childcare tuition discounts Salary: Starting at $18/Hr Minimum Education: High School or Equivalent Job Type: Full Time Category: Education/Training Minimum Experience: 2 Yrs Location: St. Louis, MO Employer is Downtown Children’s Center (DCC) Please note this contract position provides services to Nestlé in the USA on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment.
